Here are the sermon notes for the message this week. This week, we may be tempted to chalk this section up to "another exorcism", but Peter and Mark are not that haphazard in their editing and selection of material. This account is significant for Mark's overall gospel.

And as you read this passage this week in preparation, you will find another story that we know well. But notice how he tells his story. And hear the four "beggings" that happen in the text. And compare the pigs and the man. And think about the reaction that the disciples must have had to the man who came at them only a short while after the wind and the waves were silenced.

But above all of that, see a man who was dramatically and miraculously and radically changed by the gospel.
