This weekend, we will be picking up a practice that Paul loved to talk about -- prayer. And we will apply it to a group that Paul loved to talk about -- the church. Specifically, we will be practicing the ordinance of communion and corporate prayer in the service on Sunday. God loves to hear and answer the prayers of his people. Since we do not have a regular prayer meeting at this point, it is more difficult to practice this spiritual discipline with each other face to face (or shoulder to shoulder). But we must pray, for God often waits for our humble expressions of dependence on Him before He acts. For the health and well-being of our church, please come and pray together.
In creating space for application, we will change the schedule of the service a bit.
Sunday will look like this:
Announcements
Scripture Reading/Prayer
Singing
Communion
Singing
Message/Sermon
Prayer time
I trust it will be a meaningful adventure and spiritual refreshment to you!
OH, btw, it is also Daylight Savings (an hour back) weekend. :)
