The issue of miracles that we see in the gospels and now in the early chapters of Acts sometimes leave us wondering "why don't we see more miracles today?" Some denominations have emphasized signs and wonders as an evidence of the Holy Spirit, some have held healing services, some have sought to see miracles more and more in the modern church. Some unbelievers have said "If God would show me a miracle, then I would believe". Some skeptics have tried to explain the miracles away for the Bible altogether. What is our understanding of these miracle stories? And why did Luke include these two in Acts 9? You won't want to miss this sermon because I will talk with you through these issues and describe "cessationism", a key doctrine for non-charismatic churches.
I hope to share all of that with you after a brief rest with friends and family. :)
